Chuck Smith has over two decades of experience in the financial services industry and is the guiding force behind PPI’s unique business model and rapid expansion. Chuck was PPI’s first General Manager and assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer in 1996.  Under his tutelage, PPI grew from an aggressive start-up into the industry leader it is today.  Chuck is considered one of the pioneers in PC-based transaction processing and an expert in merchant banking, security and transaction processing solutions.

Eddie Myers

Eddie Myers joined Payment Processing, Inc. (PPI) in 2004 as Vice President & General Manager.  Eddie oversees all day-to-day infrastructure, development and personnel issues for merchant sales, operations and administration. In addition to ongoing business, Eddie also manages the continual expansion of PPI’s solution suite and technical architecture. Eddie came to PPI from Paymentech where he held various sales and management positions over the last nine years.  Most recently, Eddie led the Strategic Partner Channel where he was instrumental in establishing new partners, developing existing relationships and enhancing channel communications.  Prior to Paymentech, he held various technical and marketing positions with Verifone and NDC. Eddie is an active member of the Electronic Transaction Association (ETA) and a current member of the ETA Board of Directors.

Chuck Riegel joined PPI in 2004 as EVP, Software Products & Partners.  Leveraging his twenty+ years of technology management experience, Chuck manages the Strategic Sales, Software Partnerships and Technology initiatives to continually expand PPI’s position within the technology sector. Chuck’s past experience has included the management of sales, marketing and operational activities along with multiple technology distribution models including field sales, telesales, VAR/OEM and retail. He has held executive level positions with a variety of different technology companies including Cybercash, Virtus, Seer Technologies, Legent Corporation, Business Software Technology, Ecutel and Software AG.

Martin Hawke
SVP and General Manager, Payment Processing Direct

Martin Hawke has recently assumed the new role as SVP and General Manager for Payment Processing Direct, a wholly owned subsidiary of PPI.  Martin has responsibility for strategic direction and all day-to-day activities of the subsidiary and its independent Sales Representatives. Prior to PPD, Martin held the position VP, Sales and Marketing at PPI where he was instrumental in the launching of the Perigee Client Partner Program, developing key software partners and establishing PPI as a Microsoft ISV Partner. Martin has thirty+ years experience in sales and marketing, with ten+ years in financial services.  Martin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and is active in the Electronic Transaction Association and various industry groups.

Allen Genereux
Vice President, Finance

Allen Genereux became PPI's Vice President, Finance in 2000, previously holding the position of Controller. Allen is responsible for directing all financial affairs and analyses of the organization for the guidance of management. With over fifteen years of experience in finance – including seven years of payment industry experience – Allen’s prior positions include International Accounting Manager for Thoratec Corporation, Accounting Manager for a number of retail sector companies, and Senior Accountant with Ernst & Young. Allen is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mark Goddard
Vice President, Technology, Infrastructure, and Product

Mark Goddard joined PPI in 1998 as Vice President, Technology, Infrastructure, and Product. He oversees the departments responsible for MIS/IT, the PPI PayMover Gateway, facilities, and product development for both Payment Processing, Inc (PPI) and Payment Processing Direct (PPD). Currently serving on the ETA Technology Committee, Mark continually monitors and assesses new developments and technologies to keep the PPI team on the forefront of the electronic payments industry. Mark began his career in 1988 with BanCard, Inc. Since then, he's held a number of operational positions in the areas of inventory and deployment, support, and programming, quickly moving into senior management and leadership roles.

Paul Guccione
Director, Client Implementation & Support

Paul Guccione joined PPI in January 2001 and is currently serving as Director of Client Implementation and Support. Paul is responsible for the strategic direction of technical support and account setup processes for PPI as well as Payment Processing, Direct (PPD). Paul and his team also ensure that new technology is integrated seamlessly and that the optimal merchant solution is in place. Paul has over seven years of experience in the electronic payments industry, including positions in business and product development, systems integration and network support. Paul has also served in management positions for telecommunications, technical support and employee training divisions.
